Kolb’s Experiential Learning Model
Consider exploring Kolb’s Experiential Learning Model for transforming experience and learning into knowledge, which suggests: “Knowledge results from the combination of grasping experience and transforming it.”

Kolb’s four segment model will help you to create a publishable piece of work that will stand the test of time:
- Description of Concrete Experience: Discuss your personal experiences in a down-to-earth format identifying who, how, what, when or why your topic is important.
- Personal reflection: Describe your feelings about your experiences and how your thoughts, attitudes and observations developed through the reflective process.
- Objective facts and philosophy: Ad some reason or objective facts that support your knowledge of the topic, such as something you learned from reading or a personal interview.
- Discussion and conclusion: Create a rational discussion showing how your experience, reflection, and known philosophy come together to create a unique conclusion that is significant in your point of view.
