Study Abroad Journal's research found that international education programing is not well-represented in independent film, documentary and news reporting. This knowledge gap is partly attributed to the fact that the responsible and objective production of film and video is a challenging area of journalism given the technical nature of managing lighting, sound and the camera, especially when in the field in a foreign country.
